Stunning! The designers at SPP(Santoni) have coincidentally chosen Annie’s smart functional yarns

After more than two months of intense training and hands-on practice, the 19th SPP Pioneer Designers are about to present a wonderful graduation show! This time, designers will combine Annie’s smart functional yarn technology to achieve the multifunctionality of fabrics and clothing and create new application scenarios.

This skin-friendly antimicrobial cushion, made with Annie’s Smartex Volcanic Mud technology which the volcanic mud extracted from Mount St. Helens in the USA， makes the whole automotive textile products are not only breathable but also have antimicrobial and energy regulation and anti-fatigue properties during long-time driving. It is not only beautiful, but also very practical and most importantly, very environmentally friendly. Annie’s Smartex recycles discarded coconut shells, which can produce activated carbon at 1200°C. After grinding by nanotechnology, it is mixed with polyester or viscose to make coconut charcoal nano-powder, and finally made into coconut charcoal fiber. Coconut charcoal fiber is rich in many minerals. Annie’s Smartex Chitosan-Modal fiber, from the deep sea crab, and shrimp shell chitin extraction, through the biochemical process made with chitosan as the main component, modal as the carrier of natural antibacterial fiber.

Chitosan-modal fiber has a high antibacterial effect. It has an inhibitory effect on a variety of bacteria and fungi, such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and other harmful bacteria. It has strong antibacterial activity. At the same time, Chitosan-Modal fiber also has good skin care effects moisture absorption, and moisturizing properties and has good inhibitory and auxiliary therapeutic effects on human sweat odor, skin itching, dermatitis, beriberi, etc.

At this conference, designers used Annie’s Smartex functional yarns such as coconut charcoal yarn, volcanic healthy mud yarn, and chitosan modal fiber to add skin-friendly, antibacterial, environmentally friendly, and other properties to the products they designed. In the future, Annie’s Smartex will strengthen its cooperation with Santoni and continue to launch practical and environmentally friendly functional yarns to make life more comfortable.
