Beyond materials.
Toward shared possibility.
Introducing Annovate Materials Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based platform for international material collaboration, founded by Annie Kwok, the founder of Annie’s Smartex.
Annie’s Smartex is pleased to introduce Annovate Materials Pte. Ltd., established in Singapore in 2025 to support long-term partnerships, international market development and cross-border material projects.
Since Annie’s Smartex was founded in Shanghai in 2019, its work has connected functional fibers, yarns and fabrics with product needs across 30 countries. Annovate builds on that background, bringing a shared interest in practical material innovation into a broader international setting.

From material knowledge to shared projects
A promising material is one part of a product’s development. Moving an idea forward also means understanding how people will use it, finding suitable production capabilities and working with partners who know the intended market.
Annovate’s role is to help connect those conversations. Its focus includes collaboration between material developers, textile and apparel businesses, and regional partners exploring opportunities across borders. A discussion may begin with a fabric requirement, an application idea or a local market need that calls for the right combination of capabilities.
One founder, connected roles
Annie’s Smartex remains the established functional-textile technology and product brand. Annovate Materials shares the same founder and a focus on materials that improve everyday products, with a role centered on international collaboration and project development.
For each commercial project, the responsible quotation, contracting and supply entity will be identified in the formal arrangement.
Starting with a useful conversation
For brands and product developers, this creates another point of connection for discussing what a material needs to do in a finished product. For regional partners, it opens a conversation about how material knowledge and local insight could support a project together.
The starting point can be simple: the product you are developing, the people it is intended for and the change you hope to make. Those details help turn a broad interest in innovation into a concrete discussion about materials, partners and next steps.
