One-Way Moisture Transfer Polyester Yarn
SiPHONiX® one-way moisture transfer polyester yarn is a modified polyester filament for developing fabrics with different liquid-wetting behavior on their two faces. This page covers yarn selection and knitting trials; finished-fabric performance depends on companion yarn, loop placement, density and finishing. Choose the denier and filament count against the machine gauge, fabric weight and hand feel, then validate the dyed construction.

Directional fabric development
The yarn supports a fabric design intended to move liquid preferentially toward the outer face. Validate directionality on the finished construction.
Drying and ventilation
Liquid spreading may support evaporation. Drying rate and air permeability still require separate fabric tests.
SiphoniX® Cool-dry Yarn Applications
Candidate applications include training shirts, base layers and sportswear linings. Select yarn placement and construction for the intended climate, sweat load, stretch, opacity and care process. These are development routes, not verified performance claims for every garment.
Specify one-way moisture transfer polyester yarn
| RFQ parameter | Starting point | Confirm before sampling |
|---|---|---|
| Yarn type | Modified polyester filament, DTY | Lot identification and current technical data |
| Listed specifications | 75D/72F; 150D/144F | Availability, luster, color route and machine compatibility |
| Face placement | Plated or double-face development, subject to trials | Skin side, companion yarn and continuous liquid pathway |
| Processing | Knitting, scouring, dyeing, heat setting and softening | Supplier processing window; compare before and after finishing |
| Supply | Sample cones and bulk quotation | Quantity, stock status, shade, MOQ and lead time for the exact specification |
Approve a finished-fabric trial
Test the exact dyed and finished fabric with the intended skin-facing side identified. Liquid transfer, drying, air permeability and water-vapor transmission are separate properties. Agree the test method, edition, conditioning, orientation and wash milestones with the laboratory before comparing samples.
Compare a control knit and candidate constructions under the same processing conditions. Denier is not a moisture-performance rating. For mechanism and report interpretation, use the SiPHONiX technology evidence page. Buyers sourcing finished material can use the sportswear fabric specification page. The moisture-wicking yarn selection guide compares development routes.
Request yarn samples and a quotation
Send the end use, machine type and gauge, DTY specification, companion yarn, target GSM, color route, finishing process, test requirements, trial quantity, forecast and delivery date. MOQ and timing will be confirmed against that brief.
